After a rally in Mayuge on 3 October 2025, Robert Kyagulanyi was stopped by a police roadblock from continuing to his scheduled campaign in Iganga Municipality, NTV reported; Eagle Online quoted him and NUP's secretary general saying the military and police would not let him proceed. No official reason or injuries were reported, and NUP postponed the Iganga campaign.
