Police arrest 56 suspects in operation at furniture workshops in Nsambya, Kampala

Police carried out an operation around the furniture workshops in Nsambya Central Zone on the afternoon of 29 April 2026, after public complaints about phone snatching, mugging and theft of vehicle parts. Police said 56 suspects who were on watchlists were identified after screening and would be taken to court.
