Police arrest former Kasaala village LC1 chairperson in Luweero over refusal to hand over village stamp

Luweero police arrested Oliver Nakabi, the former NRM LC1 chairperson of Kasaala village who came third in the 28 July LC1 election, after she allegedly refused to surrender the official village stamp and declined a police summons. Savannah regional police spokesperson Sam Twineamazima said she faces a charge of illegal possession of government stores and is detained at Kasana Police Station. Nakabi reportedly maintains she was cheated and has petitioned the Electoral Commission.
