Police arrest Rooted in Resistance youths attempting to march to Parliament over oil policy

ChimpReports reports that police arrested a group of youths from the Rooted in Resistance movement as they tried to march to Parliament in Kampala to deliver a petition. The petition asks Parliament to review petroleum policies, agreements and investment priorities and to redirect resources to other productive sectors. The group, formerly known as Students Against EACOP Uganda, campaigns against the expansion of oil infrastructure.
