An eviction was carried out at Plots 55 and 56, Ismael Road, in Mbuya with officers from Jinja Road Police Division present. The Uganda Police Force rejected claims that the eviction was illegal, saying it enforced a High Court judgment of 28 February 2024 and that officers only kept order. Police said a woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting the officer leading the team, and that no demolition took place while police were there.
Disputed: Unnamed parties claimed the eviction was illegal; police say it was a lawful, court-sanctioned process and that no demolition happened in their presence.
