Police detain at least 78 robbery suspects after attacks on motorists on Kampala Northern Bypass

Police detained more than 70 suspects at Natete Police Station over a weekend operation that followed complaints of youths attacking motorists stuck in traffic on the Bwaise–Busega stretch of the Northern Bypass, URN reported. Police deputy spokesperson Diana Nandawula said the suspects were being screened before being taken to court. A motorist described attackers smashing car windows and threatening passengers with sharp objects.
