Police detain doctor after he visits ward where Besigye is held at Mulago Hospital, release him on bond

Police briefly detained a doctor at Mulago National Referral Hospital after he visited the sixth-floor ward where opposition politician Dr Kizza Besigye is admitted under guard, and released him on police bond for 'disobeying lawful orders', according to a bond document seen by ChimpReports. The doctor said he had been visiting his father-in-law on the same ward and that security personnel accused him of spying on them. Police had not commented publicly.
