Police fire teargas at Kyagulanyi supporters in Luweero town; at least 10 NUP supporters arrested

According to The Observer, police fired teargas and engaged supporters of NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi in running battles for over an hour after crowds filled the road in Luweero town as his convoy passed. Supporters then defaced posters of President Museveni, which an NUP local candidate said was anger at police treatment of NUP candidates; the paper reported at least 10 NUP supporters were arrested and taken to Luweero Central police station.
