Police officer ASP Clive Nsiima Barigye filmed striking a fuel station cashier in Kyanja, Kampala

Nile Post reports that CCTV footage circulated showing Assistant Superintendent of Police Clive Nsiima Barigye striking a female cashier at a Shell fuel station in Kyanja after she asked him to pay a bill of about Shs31,000. Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke confirmed his arrest and said an internal investigation was ongoing; he was charged with assault and malicious damage of property.
