Police officer assaulted and robbed at NUP campaign rally in Mubende Municipality

Wamala Region police spokesperson SP Racheal Kawala said a police officer deployed to provide security at a National Unity Platform campaign rally at Kyegulusu Playground was attacked by people police believe were NUP supporters, who took his phone and cash and left him unconscious. The officer was treated at Alpha Medical Center and police said one suspect had been arrested while others were being sought.
