Police order businesses in Banda, Kampala, to close during presidential nominations at Kyambogo

Police visited businesses in Banda along Jinja road on Sunday evening and Monday morning and told them not to open during the two days of presidential nominations at Kyambogo cricket ground, according to The Independent. Police said this would let them do their security work without disturbance; residents told URN that some who wanted to open were warned by security, and roadblocks allowed only pedestrians through.
