Prime Minister Nabbanja flags off emergency food relief for drought-hit Karamoja households

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja flagged off the distribution of 9.42 million kilogrammes of maize flour and beans at NEC headquarters in Kampala, intended for 313,987 households in 480 parishes across Karamoja's nine districts, according to ChimpReports. The Office of the Prime Minister is coordinating the operation with the army, police, prisons, NEC and local governments, following IPC estimates that about 473,000 people in the region face crisis or emergency food insecurity.
