Prosecution plays audio recordings in Besigye treason trial at the High Court in Kampala

Prosecutors in the treason trial of Dr Kizza Besigye, Obeid Lutale and Capt Denis Oola played a nearly three-hour recording before Justice Emmanuel Baguma, in which a voice the prosecution identifies as Besigye's says some police officers supported his political struggle. The first prosecution witness, an American national, told the court the recording was made at a meeting in Geneva in January 2024. The accused deny the charges.
