Residents of Rwesanziro village in Kyanamira Sub County passed a vote of no confidence in their village chairperson, accusing him of giving police false information about a resident's murder and of writing to district authorities without consulting the village executive, ChimpReports reported. Sub-county authorities took the village stamp from him and gave it to the vice chairperson; the chairperson denied the accusations.
Disputed: Residents accuse the chairperson of giving police false information about the murdered resident; he denies this, saying he only recorded a statement at Kabale Central police station.
