Security forces deploy heavily across Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono ahead of presidential inauguration

According to Uganda Radio Network, UPDF, SFC, Field Force Unit, counter-terrorism and JATT personnel were deployed across Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono, with armoured vehicles at key junctions and aerial patrols ahead of the 12 May inauguration. Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke said routes to Entebbe Airport would face traffic cut-offs and some roads around Kololo had been closed, and a police source said night operations were planned at bars and other mapped entertainment venues.
