According to ChimpReports, Kanungu RDC Ambrose Amanyire Mwesigye ordered the arrest of six officials attached to the Parish Development Model in Buhoma Town Council after residents at a community baraza accused them of charging beneficiaries Shs50,000 to access PDM funds. The suspects denied the allegations, saying identity cards were collected to correct beneficiaries' details, and they were held at Kanungu Police Station as investigations continued.
Disputed: Residents accused the officials of demanding Shs50,000 from beneficiaries, while the suspects said the identity cards were collected only to correct names and NINs.
