Ssekikubo petitions Electoral Commission to nullify Rwashande's Lwemiyaga nomination over documents

Incumbent Lwemiyaga MP Theodore Ssekikubo, running as an independent, petitioned the Electoral Commission seeking to remove NRM candidate Brig. Gen Emmanuel Rwashande from the ballot. According to The Observer, the petition alleges that his nomination papers were commissioned before they were signed and that a 1982 military certificate used for his A-level equivalence is forged. Rwashande wrote to the EC chairperson, in a letter received on 17 November, asking for a copy of the petition, saying he learned of it from the media.
