State House Anti-Corruption Unit arrests Kitagwenda District Chairperson Ismail Mushemeza in Kampala over job extortion

Officers of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit (SHACU) arrested Kitagwenda District Chairperson Ismail Mushemeza in Kampala, according to SHACU spokesperson Mariam Natasha. He is accused of taking money from job seekers in return for jobs in the district, and the Nile Post reports he had allegedly evaded arrest since July 2025. SHACU said details of his arraignment would be announced later.
