Two aspirants, including NUP's Amos Bikorwomuhangi, fail to secure nomination in Rukiga District

Two aspirants, Amos Bikorwomuhangi of the National Unity Platform and Eliab Abaasa, were not nominated during the 22–23 October nomination exercise in Rukiga District despite having picked nomination forms. According to the district Returning Officer, Rebecca Mbabazi, the two did not meet the nomination requirements, while five candidates were successfully nominated and the exercise was peaceful.
