Armed attackers rob fishermen at Rweshama Landing Site on Lake Edward, UPDF commander killed

According to UPDF Second Division spokesperson Kiconco Tabaro, quoted by Xinhua, armed individuals suspected to be Congolese militia attacked and robbed Ugandan fishermen at Rweshama Landing Site on Lake Edward and killed the commander of the army's response team. Tabaro said the army returned fire, recovered the attackers' canoe with two light machine guns and five submachine guns, and captured no one, suggesting the attackers may have drowned.
