NUP candidate Johnson Muyanja Ssenyonga said armed military officers chased voters away from six polling stations and stuffed ballots for the ruling party candidate during the LC5 polls. A polling agent at Kazo Islamic polling station told the Daily Monitor that the NRM district chairperson, with military officers, took ballot books and marked them, and the paper found that voters had destroyed ballot boxes at stations in Mpunge Sub-county; the NRM chairperson could not be reached for comment.
