Mukono High Court allows withdrawal of petition against Kayunga Woman MP Harriet Nakwedde

Justice Godfrey Himbaza of the High Court in Mukono allowed NRM-aligned candidate Jackline Birungi Kobusingye to withdraw her petition against the election of NUP's Harriet Nakwedde as Kayunga District Woman MP. Her lawyer said she could not continue following the death of her father; Ms Nakwedde agreed to the withdrawal without costs. Ms Nakwedde had won the January 15 election with 20,753 votes.
