Busia District LCV council election results declared; 30 incumbent councillors lose seats

According to The Independent, the Busia District returning officer, Joan Aduru, declared Local Council Five results between Thursday evening and Friday morning, with 30 incumbent councillors on the 41-member district council losing their seats. Among those reported defeated were NRM councillors who lost to independent candidates.
