Car of NRM mobiliser and council aspirant set on fire in Masaka; police investigating

According to the Daily Monitor, a car belonging to an NRM mobiliser and aspiring ward councillor was burnt out by the roadside in Masaka in the early hours of Tuesday, after it had broken down during a mobilisation activity. The owner and a local NRM youth leader described it as an attack, while another group of party members led by the Greater Masaka bodaboda chairman alleged the owner had planned to burn it himself. Masaka regional police said an investigation had begun; no arrests were announced.
