According to the Daily Monitor, staff of Universal Chastity Education Organisation said armed men they suspected to be UPDF soldiers took the organisation's director, Rev. Fr. Deusdedit Ssekabira, from its offices in Katwe cell, Masaka city, blindfolded him and drove him away in a car with concealed number plates. His secretary, who was taken with him, was later left by the roadside; relatives said the priest had been missing for several days. A UPDF spokesperson in Masaka said she needed time to verify the claims.
