During an anti-corruption rally led by ministers Balaam Barugahara and Justine Nameere in Masaka City, a coffee seedling supplier interrupted the event and accused Nameere of failing to pay for seedlings supplied under a government programme. Nameere denied owing the money, and Barugahara said the contract had been awarded to Masaka NRM chairman Rogers Bulegeya. According to ChimpReports, President Museveni later directed the State House Comptroller to ensure the farmers who supplied the seedlings are paid.
Disputed: The supplier says Nameere owes her UGX 150 million, while Nameere says she was not party to the contract and the figure is the total owed to 14 farmers by the contractor.
