Electoral Commission declares NRM's Henry Tumukunde winner of Rukungiri Municipality MP seat

The Electoral Commission declared retired Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde (NRM) winner of the Rukungiri Municipality parliamentary seat with 7,115 votes against 6,268 for PFF's Ingrid Kamateneti Turinawe, a margin of 847 votes, according to the Daily Monitor. Two independent candidates received 297 and 53 votes.
