According to URN, the Electoral Commission struck off NRM candidates for LC I chairperson in Njumaga, Kirumba and Kayirikiti Piida cells in Nyendo-Mukungwe Division after finding they had not resigned from public office before seeking nomination. As a result, NUP candidates in the three cells were returned unopposed, according to division chairperson Ronald Kasekende.
