Enforcement officers backed by army evict street vendors and raze stalls in Mukono Municipality

The Daily Monitor reports that law enforcement officers, supported by the army, carried out a forceful eviction of street vendors in Mukono Town, Nasuti, Wantoni and nearby streets, using a grader. Authorities said vendors had been given a few days to vacate under a recent directive; an evicted phone repair operator told the paper she was devastated.
