Four Mbale District officials charged with abuse of office and neglect of duty at Anti-Corruption Court

According to ChimpReports, the Mbale District Health Officer, District Education Officer, District Inspector of Schools and the head teacher of Nabumali Secondary School were arraigned before the Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court and remanded. Investigators from the State House Anti-Corruption Unit allege irregular transfers of health workers that left facilities understaffed, and unlawful collection of extra fees at a government-aided school that the education officials failed to stop.
