IGG orders interdiction of Kalungu District CAO and three officials over alleged mismanagement of school funds

The Inspector General of Government, Lady Justice Naluzze Aisha Batala, directed the Ministry of Local Government in a letter dated 19 December to interdict Kalungu District's Chief Administrative Officer, Rose Nalumansi, and three other officials, according to Nile Post. The Inspectorate said its investigations into funds for renovating and building 22 schools and a district administration block in FY 2024/25 had so far found procurement irregularities, conflict of interest and abuse of office. The officials are barred from duty while investigations continue.
