The High Court in Masaka, presided over by Justice Bernard Namanya, admitted video footage of a disputed vote recount as evidence in NUP candidate Rose Nalubowa's petition challenging State Minister Justine Nameere's election as Masaka City Woman MP, over objections from the respondents' lawyer. According to the Daily Monitor, Nalubowa testified that she left the recount after a ballot box with a broken seal was found. The court adjourned the hearing to 30 September and 1 October.

Disputed: Nalubowa says she won the 15 January election by 5,119 votes and that the recount was compromised, while the recount declared Nameere winner by 2,326 votes; Nameere and the EC are contesting the petition.
