NRM flag bearer for Mbale Industrial City Division mayor Abdallah Madoi accused Deputy RCC Hamza Banja of intimidating his supporters at Namalogo polling station and of ordering beatings of agents in Kibiniko, Tsabanyanya and Namatala. Locals at the station demanded that the Deputy RCC leave. Banja dismissed the allegations.
