Minister Aceng accuses rival Minister Amongi of campaigning at Lira City polling stations on polling day

According to The Independent, Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng, a candidate for Lira City Woman MP, said her rival, Gender Minister Betty Amongi Akena (UPC), and her husband Jimmy Akena moved between polling stations canvassing for votes, and that she had reported this to the returning officer. Ms Amongi, for her part, said several polling stations in Lira City East Division had no voting materials by 11am and criticised the police deployment.
