In a press statement dated 25 May 2026, the Ministry of Health confirmed two new Ebola Virus Disease cases in Kampala. Director General of Health Services Dr Charles Olaro said both patients are Ugandan health workers at a private health facility, and that they had been admitted to an isolation and treatment unit. Response teams were deployed to trace their contacts.
