Museveni backs creation of Aber District from Oyam during campaign in Oyam

According to Nile Post, NRM presidential candidate Yoweri Museveni, campaigning in Oyam, said he would support carving a new Aber District out of Oyam District after asking the crowd to choose between the district and upgrading the Bobi–Loro road. He said both projects would go ahead when resources allow. Local NRM leaders argued that Oyam's size, with over 1,000 villages, makes service delivery difficult.
