NRM wins 113 of 141 LC1 seats in Jinja City village elections

According to the Daily Monitor, the NRM won 113 of 141 Local Council I seats in Jinja City, with the remaining 28 shared between independents and opposition candidates, although opposition parties had won all the city's parliamentary and division mayor seats. Opposition and NRM figures quoted attributed the outcome to opposition disunity and to the NRM's candidate selection.
