According to The Independent, NUP candidate for Nama Paul Kawombe said he expected to be declared winner based on tallies and declaration forms, but NRM candidate Mulamira Gasheegu was announced instead. Kawombe was reportedly removed violently from the Electoral Commission offices by security personnel as he protested the decision.
