NUP's Akello rejects Busia Woman MP result, alleges rigging and denies bribe claims

Addressing journalists in Busia, NUP candidate Mary Phanice Akello rejected the declared Busia Woman MP result and denied circulating reports that NRM paid her Shs200 million to concede, the Daily Monitor reported. She alleged ballot stuffing, votes exceeding registered voters at stations including Kodema, Bujabi and Butote, and military harassment of her agents, and said she would petition the courts.
