NUP's Mwiru and Balimwezo accuse Electoral Commission of tallying irregularities, including Jinja City mayor race

Kampala Lord Mayor winner Ronald Balimwezo and Jinja South West MP-elect Paul Mwiru, both of NUP, criticised the Electoral Commission over alleged tallying irregularities, The Independent reports. Mwiru alleged that the NRM candidate, helped by electoral officials, won the Jinja City mayor seat through falsified declaration forms, some showing more votes than turnout.
