NUP's Rose Nalubowa files High Court petition challenging Masaka City Woman MP recount result

Rose Nalubowa of NUP said her lawyers filed an election petition at the High Court in Masaka against NRM's Justine Nameere, the Masaka City Returning Officer and the Electoral Commission, challenging a court-ordered recount that declared Nameere winner of the Masaka City Woman MP seat. Nalubowa said Nameere declined to receive the notice of petition, so it was published in national newspapers. According to ChimpReports, the recount supervised by the Chief Magistrate reversed Nalubowa's initial win and excluded one unsealed ballot box and the Kimwanyi P7 polling station results.
