PFF's Ingrid Turinawe files petition against Henry Tumukunde's Rukungiri Municipality MP win

People's Front for Freedom candidate Ingrid Kamateneti Turinawe petitioned the High Court to nullify the NRM's Henry Tumukunde's victory in the 15 January parliamentary election in Rukungiri Municipality, naming the Electoral Commission as a respondent. She alleges voter intimidation, bribery and chaos at several polling stations and said she had over 200 witnesses. Official results showed Tumukunde with 7,115 votes to Turinawe's 6,268; Tumukunde and the Electoral Commission had not responded by publication, according to ChimpReports.
