Ten National Unity Platform supporters were arrested on 28 October 2025 and were due before the Lira Chief Magistrate's Court on charges of malicious damage and theft, according to ChimpReports. Police allege the group attacked and vandalised a Criminal Investigations Directorate vehicle deployed for surveillance during an NUP campaign rally in Lira District and took items including a laptop and a network jammer.
