Police arrest seven, including Mukono district councillor, over alleged voter bribery with sugar in Katosi

According to a police statement, police arrested seven people, among them a Mukono District woman councillor, at a guest house in Katosi Town Council on suspicion of voter bribery. Police allege the suspects were packing sugar in packets that contained posters of Nsubuga Kenneth Ssegabayunga, the Democratic Party candidate for Mukono North, and said the suspects were in custody while investigations continued.
