Police block Busoga One Radio festival at Jinja show grounds; owner Paul Mwiru claims Shs400m loss

The Daily Monitor reports that police blocked Busoga One Radio's festival on the day it was to take place, and festival-goers who had travelled from Mayuge and Kayunga found the show grounds closed. Station owner Paul Mwiru, a NUP parliamentary candidate, told journalists the cancellation had cost over Shs400 million, accused security agencies of targeting the station for its opposition affiliation, and said legal action was planned.
