Rukungiri district chairperson candidate Angello Twinomuhangi found tied and unconscious at Minera Bridge

Police said independent Rukungiri LCV chairperson candidate Angello Twinomuhangi was found tied up, gagged and unconscious beside a parked vehicle at Minera Bridge in Nyarushanje sub-county at about 9.30pm. According to Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate, passers-by alerted Kebisoni Police, who took him to Nyakibale hospital, and a case of attempted murder was registered while the attackers remain unidentified.
