Justice Richard Wejuli Wabwire of the High Court in Rukungiri allowed petitioner Sam Arineitwe Kajojo to file additional affidavits by 16 September, ordered Health Minister Chris Baryomunsi to respond by 18 September, and set the substantive hearing for 24 September 2026. Kajojo alleges voter bribery, assault of his polling agents and tallying irregularities in the 2026 Kinkiizi East parliamentary election; Baryomunsi dismissed the petition as lacking grounds to overturn the result.
