High Court rejects Jet Tumwebaze bid to bar Kaguta's lawyers in Mawogola North election petition

Justice Thomas Ocaya of the High Court dismissed an application by Jet Tumwebaze to stop lawyer Paul Kuteesa and Arcadia Advocates from representing Aine Godfrey Kaguta, according to ChimpReports. The petition challenges Kaguta's election as Mawogola North MP. The judge found too little evidence that Tumwebaze had hired Kuteesa or given him confidential information, and also questioned how late the application was filed. The ruling does not decide the petition itself.
