Tororo High Court dismisses Ofwono petition, upholds Shyam Tanna's election as Tororo Municipality MP

Justice Rosemary Bareebe of the High Court in Tororo dismissed NRM candidate Apollo Yeri Ofwono's petition against the election of independent MP Shyam Jay Tanna. She ruled that the allegations of bribery, illegal donations and violence at Chamwinula had not been proved or linked to Tanna. Ofwono was ordered to pay the costs of Tanna and the Electoral Commission.
