Tororo Municipal Council orders review of market rental rates after vendor protests

Tororo Mayor Kennedy Orono Nyapidi told the Daily Monitor on Thursday that the council had directed its finance and works committee to develop new pricing guidelines for the Modern Central Market. He said the review could lead to lower or higher rates, and that the council would pursue arrears from defaulters, possibly through court bailiffs.
